Mae rhifau 1 – 7 wedi eu tynnu hefo lens Canon 50mm f1.8 II. Nid oedd y Flash yn cael ei ddefnyddio i’r rhain. Gan mae rhai o fy ymdrechion cyntaf yn y Velodrome ydynt, mi roeddwn yn defnyddio Shutter Speed uwch nag oedd angen. O ganlyniad, mae yr ISO yn 1600 – ond mae y 40D yn ymdopi yn reit dda hefo ISO uchel.

O llun rhif 8 ymlaen, lens Canon 28-135mm IS oeddwn yn ddefnyddio. Mae y Flash wedi cael ei ddefnyddio yn y rhain i gyd, a’r Shutter Speed i lawr i 1/160sec, ac yr ISO yn y rhan fwyaf ohonnynt rhywle tua 400 – 800.

Llun 29 yw Andy Jones (ffotograffydd Cycling Weekly); wrth ei yml o y byddaf yn tynnu llawer iawn o fy lluniau. Mae lluniau 30 – 35 yn cynnwys ambell i wyneb cyfarwydd o’r cyffiniau hyn.

Presentation Night 2009

A PRESENTATIONS NIGHT was held at The Penrhos Arms, Llanfairpwll on Wednesday evening, 21 October, 2009. Prizes were handed out to winners in the Mon-Arfon Cycling League, Anglesey TLI Races as well as some Gwynedd Cycling Association prizes. This album starts with a picture of the trophies.

Nant Gwynant Hill Climb (20-9-09)

At around 3.90 miles distance, this is the longest of our hill climbs. There are no exceptionally steep bits on this climb, but it's still harder than it looks in these photos (due to the spot/angle from which they were taken)! EVENT RESULTS.

This is one of the hardest climbs in the area; frequently hitting 12% to 14% of incline - 16% in some places, and even 17% is recorded on one section of this 2.40 mile climb! EVENT RESULTS.

South Stack Hill Climb 12-09-09

This Hill Climb competition was a Mon-Arfon League event. As we often do, we have included more than one version of some of the images, as well as shots from a slightly different angle. Also, most have been shot from a different viewpoint. EVENT RESULTS.

TLI Track Race 26-08-09

Although not brilliant, these 40 images are the best out the huge number we took on the night. This is because of the very overcast sky, and whatever daylight we had at the start deteriorated further as the race progressed.

The race fragmented very soon, so the only image we have of the whole bunch together is No 03 (the start). The manner in which these images are displayed here does not in any way represent the order of the race.

HCC GCA 23-07-09

Consisting of 50 images, with only 20-odd riders, this album contains two or three shots from different angles of most riders - this may prove handy if riders want to see how ‘aero’ they are on their bikes! After taking photos in the Newborough area, we then moved to Llanfaelog but only captured a handful of shots from the tail end of the event. Apologies to Arthur Thomas as we only managed one shot… and that was of his back leaving the Newborough turn!

TLI Track Mon Race 15-07-09

Images 01-10 shows some warming up and getting ready at the start line. Images 11-57 are race scenes but, as we were both taking pictures (and moving around quite a lot in order to get different view points), these race images do NOT depict the order of the race. Image 58 shows the 1st & 2nd crossing the line, with images 59, 60, 61, 62 & 63 showing 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th respectively to cross the line. We apologise for having missed several riders that crossed the line between images 63 and 64.

These images are from the first event in the Mon-Arfon League series for 2009. It was very dull, with a light drizzle, which made things less than ideal for taking photos! Only some of the riders were captured both on the way to, as well as back from the turn. We have also uploaded an alternative variation of some of the images.
