One or two well-known riders, including Mark Cavendish and Chris Newton, are included in this album. Chris Hoy was unwell and unable to ride - his bicycle is seen though in the last image (No. 40).
It is a known fact that taking pictures in the Velodrome can be quite challenging at the best of times, and the speed generated by some of these athletes makes things even more difficult.
A relatively slow shutter setting was used for some shots in order to try and capture a degree of motion blur. All images have also been downsized considerably (as with all images in
these Galleries) to facilitate uploading
& downloading.
